The Preamble
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

To establish something is to make something permanent and standing.
God established the kingdom of Jehoshaphat.
2 Chronicles 17:5, "Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance."
Esther's feast was established annually.
Esther 9:21, "To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,"
The Lord works to establish our hearts as pure.
1 Thessalonians 3:13, "To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints."
We are established in the faith.
Colossians 2:7, "Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."
We are to establish ourselves in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:17, "Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work."
All these verses go to teach us to learn to establish the things that are right and good.
This is done by laying our rules of conduct for ourselves and our families. If they are organized and reviewed regularly, they can be a great asset in being established by our written establishments!
