Article 2, Section 1, Paragraphs 4-5
The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
So What Happened?
Voting in America has shifted from being something that was done for the good of the country to selfishness. Between pride, self-centeredness, debauchery, drunkenness, and pure mental deficiency, the voting of the United States has sunk to deplorable lows.
People vote in the person they think will benefit themselves the most, only to find the politician they chose is only after his own selfish interest. They are infuriated at the politician instead of at themselves for not having more discernment and involvement in each election.
To change the course of politics, this country has to have real revival, and deep commitment to honoring God in their own lives and in the votes cast. Politicians must be morally pure, godly, humble, and honorable people, who will serve God first in order to serve their country.
There has to be a change in political control. Government has to be stripped down to the constitutional roots. Churches have to get involved and do their part, so that government is not required to overstep its bounds to cover welfare programs, retirement care, medical care, social reform, educational programs, etc.
There has to be a change in the whole monetary structure, so that this country runs on a metal backed financial system. Both the citizens and the officials have to learn to live within the means dictated by “cash on hand” financial parameters. Not only will there not be millions to be gained through lobbying efforts anymore, but anything that requires bond issues or debt would be cancelled. Taking the hot air balloon of pretend money out of politics would dramatically change the face of politics.
The election of president has turned into a stage play, and is a theatrical presentation. Qualifications, morals, aptitude, abilities, integrity, etc. do not matter. Multiplied millions of dollars are thrown away in this drama. It is the one who can publicly beat the other candidates back and who gains political party and media approval that wins.
The Constitution supplied a sane and responsible way to appoint a president. These rules have been changed to favor political parties. The parties have made a mockery of the process and the office. If we returned to the original rules, much of the charades would be ended, and qualified people would have a chance to win.
A problem with qualifications has become a measurement of Hollywood appeal, “scholastic” approval, and endorsements by selfish organizations who have cancelled the good of the country and seek only the benefit of their own organization. When a society allows themselves to be influenced by “gods” of society, they are going to collapse into shame and debauchery. The moral standard by which society must choose leaders is God’s Word. Any other standard is philosophical and so is non-existent, because it varies dramatically, based on perverted honor.
United States citizens have abandoned the fact that it is righteous leadership that makes a citizen happy. The fact that society has now been broken up into many segments who have organized themselves to force their selfish political desires upon the nation is a pathetic tribute to American socialism. No segment of society should ever feel the need to organize to influence law makers, media, judicial decisions, law enforcement, politics and entertainment. Every citizen should know that they will be fairly and honorably treated, and not feel the need to force themselves upon the political “freebie.”
