Article 1, Section 10, Paragraph 1
No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.
So What Happened?
Various issues surfaced that led to harsh disagreements about Federal policy. Several States formed a confederacy to begin their own government. A civil war flamed up and many died on both sides. The Confederate States were admitted back into the Union after the war. Bitter feelings continue to this day.

The Federal Government has gone to a symbolic monetary system, where value is adjusted throughout the day! This allows manipulation of the U.S. market as well as how such "dollars" will flow into or from foreign countries. Real money is shunned. This leaves citizens in a precarious predicament and puts too much control on a Federal level.
While laws cannot be passed that change the binding obligation of a contract or event, our laws have become so invasive and specific, it is almost impossible to form a contract without violating some law. We do not worry about the validity of things being changed; we worry about whether or not we forgot some minute detail that will cause the contract to be null and void.
The Government is not to grant Titles of Nobility, but it does cater to certain elements as "gods" of our society. This is unfortunate, because truth is determined by what godless and moral-less doctors, "experts" and scientists say is fact. In public schools, the government seeks to make each student think they are gods and in essence confer such humanistic titles upon them. God has quite a different view of man. He calls them desperately wicked!
Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"
