Article 1, Section 8, Paragraphs 18
To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.
So What Happened?
It is unfortunate that our Country did not simply quote the Law of God as found in the Bible into the Constitution. Using it as the foundation has preserved this Country against many egregious problems, but it has enabled this Country to sink into deep depravity, as the Biblical basis is ignored.
The struggle of powers between good and evil are actually encouraged by the Constitution. Because evil is pervasive, this setup does not protect righteousness, but allows time to distort the facts. Society condemns the righteous and moral framework on which this Country was founded.
We as Christians are in a slippery but essential place. We must stand firm and upright against the onslaught of the great evils that have been allowed to permeate society. We cannot afford to sit back and watch things happen. Permitting evil to gain ground is dangerous to the cause of doing the right thing. Lost ground cannot be regained without a great deal of agony.
There must be a soon return to the Minutemen of the past. There must be a return to the loud and clear message of God’s people. Churches must make a clear stand in their communities. They must also take an active role in proving their concern by fulfilling their God-granted authority in helping the widows, poor, orphans, and those in need.
By making an impact locally, and expanding to establish like churches in other communities, we could do a great deal to change the tide of evil. Taking a stand during election times to proclaim loudly the facts of the evil candidates would cause such candidates to loose such ambitions, knowing they would be exposed for what they are. Righteous candidates would find courage to campaign for office.
