What Happened?

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;

Tribunal Availability

Tribunals are readily available courts for lesser charges.

A tribunal is a court where justice is administered. Congress can set up courts as long as they are lesser courts than the Supreme Court.

God’s instructions are that there are to be judges in every "gate" as a public court system. This way a selection of judges would be available each day. A gate is an opening to a place. Judges were not limited to cities, but any place that had walls.

Deuteronomy 16:18, "Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment."

Judges are to be monitored for being just. If they do not know how a case should be resolved, they are to refer the case to an appropriate expert.

Exodus 18:26, "And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves."

Judges should come from the priests and Levites to God. These are the ones who are taught God’s Law and ways from their birth, and are to be completely familiar with the way God would have things done.

Deuteronomy 17:9, "And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:"

Malachi 2:7, "For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts."

Appeals are not an option in God’s courts. Once a decision has been reached, and instruction has been given, those in a case are to follow the ruling.

Deuteronomy 17:10, "And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:"

Our court system was started with these principals, but no longer follows them.
