To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;
To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
So What Happened?
Our government decided to become counterfeiters of money when it decided to abandon the gold and silver standard. This enabled the government to have the ability to manipulate the economy as it wishes. By flooding the economy with paper money, it causes inflation. By allowing banks to issue loans without having precious metals on hand to back those loans, they have created an economy based on paper alone. Value is adjusted at whim, and monetary value is never stable or reliable as a means of exchange or savings. Paper money means that the philosophy of devious and wicked people (those who hate standards) controls the economy of the U.S.
Fortunately, weights and measures have not met with such a fate. There is a different danger in the overwhelming desire of some to force us to convert to the metric system. The government education system has been trying for years to get students to "think metric." Going metric enables businesses and jobs to be transported from American soil to foreign lands, and so undermine the American economy and lifestyle. This has the effect of reducing this great land to a third world nation, where socialism reigns.
Communication systems have become idols that are regularly worshipped in our society. God’s plan is for communication to happen no less than three times a year among all of His people as they come together. Smaller groups would remain in touch in assemblies. God’s people can catch up on news, as well as hear the latest sermons, laws, politics, and so forth. Such a system keeps citizens from being inundated with a constant barrage of worthless and time-consuming information. It also allows citizens to "catch up" on the latest in a setting where God is honored and His blessings celebrated.
