Each Shall Keep a Journal
Record Keeping is the Core of Good Business.
Record keeping is the basis of management—yesterday, today and forever.
God (our example) keeps books: the Book of Life, Title Deed, and the Book of Remembrance.
Revelation 20:12, "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Revelation 5:1, "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals."
Malachi 3:16, "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name."
Mordecai was rewarded once the book of records was checked.
Esther 6:1, "On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.".
God has given us His Words, all carefully recorded in the Bible.
We are to keep God’s Word. This means to guard our copy of it, being very familiar with it.
2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Truth is to be bound to our neck and written in our heart.
Proverbs 3:3, "Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:"
Eternity will not change the need of records.
