Article 1, Section 3, Paragraph 6
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
To Try Impeachments
Senators must be honorable enough to judge other officials
The House of Representatives is to be a watchdog group monitoring official corruption. When found, they can file charges of impeachment with the Senate.
The Senate must then hold hearings on the charges and accept or reject them. They serve as a jury in deciding the official’s future.
No other body is to try government officials, and they are only to try impeachments sent from the House.
Every builder’s work will be tried.
