Article 1, Section 3, Paragraph 5
The Senate shall chuse their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the Absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the Office of President of the United States.
So what happened?
Where there is an allowance made for corruption, it will be taken. It was proven in the Garden of Eden and has not changed except in those who are Saints.
When we rule and reign with Christ, we do so with an iron rod for this reason. There cannot be any allowances or expectation for people to act honorably. They must be directed into the proper way of life and fervently and forcefully restricted from that which is evil and wrong.
When leaders are appointed, they must rule humbly and be held to their job. There will always be a tendency for them to discontinue (subversively) their servant-hood and begin a reign of terror and theft.
Leadership can become corrupt at any point, bringing real heartache and injury to all involved.
As citizens of this country, we have not been vigilant to train our children in how government is to operate, nor have we been careful to watch the officials to guard against corruption.
