Article 1, Section 3, Paragraph 4
The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.
No vote unless equally divided
Tie votes indicate a majority of corrupt senators.
There is great power that is wielded when a person is chairman of an organization, simply because he can control the agenda and the rules of conduct.
Such power must be used very carefully and judiciously. In today’s world this power is necessary to hold in check those that would seek to undermine and destroy what is foundational and good.
At issue here is a tied vote. This very situation spells disaster and lack of unity. It indicates that half of the members feel something is very wrong.
Such wording has caused our government to be run on compromise and deals rather than on principal and integrity. Bills are held back until the necessary votes have been bought (bribed) to allow passage. Senators are thus rewarded for holding out on close issues.
Close votes should not happen if Senators are voting for what is right, based on individual responsibility. There is only one right way, and it is very narrow.
Close votes indicate that a revival needs to take place among the Senators before any more votes are taken. The Senators need to come back to the place where they see themselves as servants of God placed there to govern as He directs. Secondly they are servants to the citizen, protecting the freedoms and responsibilities of each state. Thirdly, they represent their families, hoping to present them righteous before God.
