The Congressional Oath of Office:
"Do you swear that you will support and defend the Constitution of the
United States against all enemies foreign and domestic: that you will bear
true faith and allegiance to the same; that you will take this obligation
freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that you
will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which you are about to
enter—so help you God?" |
Rep. Wally Herger
The key to controlling the excesses of
the Federal Government is through the representatives. These are people who
are elected by the citizens and are to represent the interests of their
constituency. They hold the purse strings of government and can literally
choke to death the cancerous spending that exists. Our Representative is
Wally Herger. He does get good grades in some issues, but lately, his grades
on limiting Federal spending is as low as most liberal socialists.
Take a look at what our representative says about keeping
English our national language:

Senators are supposed to be
elected by the State Legislators to represent State interests. This has been
changed and now the citizens elect them by popular vote. Because of this
atrocious power change, Senators must listen to State voters. It is
important we use this avenue to do what we can to let senators know there is
a strong conservative voice to be heard above the liberalism they immerse
themselves in among Washington D.C. politics.Gun
Control Views:
The following comments were clipped from Sen. Feinstein's
press release on March 1, 2004. She was lamenting how difficult it is to get
weapon bans through Congress.
"I
devoted myself in 1993 to see that these weapons were no longer on the
streets."
"It is hard
because the NRA opposes any regulations on any weapons anywhere in the
country – no matter how sensible. In my book, that is
just plain wrong. It is time to stand up to the NRA.
It is time
to break the logjam on gun regulations. It is time to extend the assault
weapons ban."
So how
are Feinstein and Boxer doing on reducing taxes? You can probably guess!

Constitution Party: "Bush Slaps Face of Believers, Conservatives
With Recess Appointment of Pryor"
Lancaster, PA - President George W. Bush has slapped the face of
conservatives and those who believe in God with his recess
appointment of former Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor to the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the 11th District, Constitution Party National
Chairman Jim Clymer said today.
"Of all the people waiting to be confirmed for federal
judgeships, it is stunning that Bill Pryor would be the president's
choice for this extraordinary move," said Clymer.
Pryor prosecuted former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice
Roy Moore for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the
Alabama Judicial Building and Moore was removed from office in
October.
"Bill Pryor was a professed Christian who had to choose
between his Lord and his political career," Clymer said. "He chose
his political career. By all indications, he was rewarded for
prosecuting the Justice by the Bush administration which has been his
behind the scenes opponent throughout his career."
At the close of the hearing that led to Moore's removal,
Pryor asked him if would continue to acknowledge God if he were
permitted to continue in office. After Moore affirmed that, indeed he
would continue to recognize God, and that he was obliged to do so
under the Alabama Constitution he had taken an oath to uphold, he was
formally removed from office.
"Pryor will likely be a fine addition to a federal judiciary
run amok," Clymer said. "Like many of his colleagues, he not only
fails to recognize the religious principles underlying our laws, but
is willing to ignore the Constitution which is based on them as well."
Clymer said the Bush Administration believes conservatives
"have no place to go" in the fall elections, other than to re-elect
Bush. "But voters do have options," Clymer noted. "We are providing
the principled alternative of voting for the Constitution Party's
presidential candidate, Michael Peroutka."
